Brother Ray 
at the Howard Theater, Washington, DC, 1977. Oh how that evening was so memorable for it was my first and only time seeing Brother Ray live and in person. The beauty was that I was allowed to stand at the foot of the stage the entire performance with the only thing between him and I was my camera. What a thrill!
I recall members of the audience calling out for favorites and Brother Ray responding that he didn't take requests. We were not disappointed. As another patron exclaimed, Ray Charles could count from one to ten in song and by the time he reached five you'd be in tears.
